National Anthem of Kingdom of Sarawak: Fairland Sarawak (Monarchy of Sarawak 1841-1946)

The White Rajahs were a dynastic monarchy of the British Brooke family, who founded and ruled the Raj of Sarawak, located on the north west coast of the island of Borneo, from 1841 to 1946. The first ruler was an Englishman James Brooke. As a reward for helping the Sultanate of Brunei fight piracy and insurgency among the indigenous peoples, he was granted the province of Kuching which was known as Sarawak Asal (Original Sarawak) in 1841 and received independent kingdom status.

This is actually “Fair Land Sarawak,” the anthem of the British Crown Colony from 1946-1963. Same tune but different lyrics from Gone Forth Beyond the Sea, which was the actual anthem of Sarawak from 1872-1946. Sarawak had no anthem before 1872.

no. We're independent from Brunei. We're sarawakian malays unlike the peninsular malay and indonesia. just wishing we can Adopted both European and Sarawak culture just like Māori (NZ) and UK. and hoping English and Sarawakian gonna be our main language.
