I actually have Trick on my book stack as I listen to you. It attracted my attention at the library. The other 4 titles sound good to me, as well, especially Emissary

The Golden State sounds intriguing. I have both Unsheltered and A Winter’s Promise waiting for me. I’m currently finishing up The Book of M and loving it, even though it’s not my usual genre. My husband read A Winter’s Promise and really liked it. And I think Unsheltered sounds terrific. I can’t wait. My biggest issue is I get so many on my TBR that I can’t put my nickel down and decide what I’m in the mood to pick up next so I get stuck. Frustrating. I want to read about 10 books at once!

My friend Britta raves about The Book of M... I have that on my shelf too. Clearly so many books. I just finished A Winter's Promise - and I am on the side of your husband. I too am a mood reader and so struggle with TBR's and I pick up new stuff and am like... I want to read that so bad! Book loving is so hard.

I have written this comment elsewhere already, anyway: I read three novels of Hanne Örstavik (in German translation), and found that "Love" was okay, but not her best. She has written a magnifiscent novel, that was one of my favourite reads ever: "The Pastor" (which is my translation of the German title). The title is a bit misleading, it's about a younger woman who has studied theology and about how her friendship with her best friend breaks up. - Same with Olga Tokarczuk: I do not think much of "Flights", but she also has written two of my favourite novels, and one has just been published in English now: "Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead". Read that one!

I’ve only read Trick which would have been a five star read for me if it wasn’t for that last section which I didn’t find necessary, again though I want to read all of the rest and think any sound like a deserving winner.
