Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong delivered his National Day Rally 2019 speech on 18 August 2019 at ITE College Central. PM Lee spoke in Malay and Mandarin, followed by English.

EVERY YEAR I LOVE TO LISTEN TO THE SINGAPORE NATIONAL DAY RALLY SINCE WE MIGRATED HERE SINCE 1982 FROM PENANG. I AM SO PROUD OF SINGAPORE! WE MUST UNIT OURSELVES AS ONE PEOPLE AND ONE NATION ALL THE TIME!

Our government has been cranking their brains to make our older workers to continue working longer so they can be more financially independent .... why can't we work towards the goal that when our commoners and men on the street reach 65, they are already financially independent to retire and enjoy their lives, and being able to spend more quality, meaningful times with their families, esp with their parents? If you are 65 and the parents are still around, probably their days are numbered.

Since the retirement age will be increased soon, please increase the lump sum CPF withdrawal at age 55 with additional 5K, as well.

Singapore government heavily invests in education and training to make sure all ages of Singaporeans are productive and enjoy better of lives. The world change with the advanced of science and technology, Singapore change to be a smart and better world. However, climate change hits the world cause disruption of world economic and humans lives by destruction of Covid-19 pandemic . It is deeply regreted to see none of world leaders take initiative to change the world for better future for all the people in the world.
