Did my BA training in the seventies!! Burning pallets in the basement. A truly irrespirable atmosphere! In the middle of a particularly gruelling exercise our instructor came up behind me and turned my BA set off!! I tried to turn it back on ,he slapped my hand away. Had to unplug my mask and connect to my partners "second man attachment". Health and Safety would have a fit today!!! I learned an important lesson. Go figure!!

Certain parts are timed what are the passing times and are all tests consecutive and to be done in a set time or do you stop for an amount of time between tests. I want to try and test myself to see if I would pass so would like to know more.

Just done one of these sets of tests.. The only tip I can give is get into cross fit it will help more than any other type of training

My older brother passed the test. He said if anything the hardest test was the Maths, mechanical and verbal.

Anything is better than the lowest of the low, Glenrothes, Cadham in Fife, Scotland. They put out a rose garden composter with no visible smoke. They broke down a gate on a private house to do it. evoboatsfm.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_15.html Wow! kzbin.info/www/bejne/qn3Eq6yJqdaeabM

100% agree with this. The online tests were INSANELY hard.

4:53 I would have killed to do a mayday crawl like this. Ours went through wood boxes filled with stuff like drywall, wire, concrete, and insulation. Also we had to do this with full SCBA and on air to pass our national test.

What about crawling through 20 plus metre concrete pipes with bends?

its no longer the bleep test as the fitness test, they do the chester step test for it
@benpaynter8 жыл бұрын
+elis jones I've got a practical test with Beds F&R in Jan and that's got a bleep test in it so maybe only certain brigades? Think we do the Chester test at a later date after interviews

This is good that they are using real world examples to test their cadets, however the american fire service is much more rigorous than this.

This is a series of tests to go on the course not to qualify. However, I agree nothing really challenging.
