National Holden Motor Museum to close in April

The National Holden Motor Museum in Echuca, Victoria is set to shut down in April.
The closure of the museum was confirmed on Thursday through a social media post from the owners and directors Tony and Mark Galea.
They said it was 'with sadness and regret' to announce the museum would no longer be operating after several decades in existence.
Sky News host Caleb Bond reacted to the news saying "someone’s got to keep just these little things going because it's a reminder of our history".
"As a South Australian boy in particular the importance of Holden to Adelaide was huge," he said.

How many more billions of dollars should have gone to keep them alive? Why did Holden collapse just because the Commodore ended? Strategically, they'd led themselves to a sales dead end. Their own greed, not the government. Ford saw the future and planned for it. They're still going, due to good planning.

Other libs and labor demolished other industries. Whitlam (Labor) demolished electrical, electronic industries (overnight, 50,000 jobs in those industries evaporated and that was truly an overnight thing. One day in business, next day, pushed out). Holden was the Australian branch of General Motors USA. Holdens were all based on US vehicles until the commode (spelling on purpose) when they switched to European vehicles, namely Opel, then back to US Buick for the VN. The Falcon was always more Aussie than the Holden.
