UPDATES... Constitution of NHRC 1 chairperson (at present Justice Arun Mishra),must be retired CJI or judge of SC. 1member (retired/present judge of SC). 1member ( retired/present CJ of HC). 3 memeber (at least 1 women) , having knowledge, practical experience in matters relating to HR. 7 deemed members ( chairpersons of National commission of minorities, backward classes, protection of child rights, Scheduled castes , scheduled Tribes, women and person with disabilities). Structure Chairperson and members of NHRC appointment for 3 yrs or until he attains age of 70 ,and are eligible for reappointment.
