The classic "A Christmas Story" movie is pretty much a staple (TNT used to run it nonstop 24 hours a day around Christmas), but there was a reason for that: it's a heartwarming slice-of-life view of the Christmas holiday from a 1940s kids perspective. Another even older gem that _nobody_ reacts to is "We're No Angels" from 1955.

I have a few trees on my property. Many acres of land so I planted a few spruce trees just for Christmas trees. When I was growing up we every year we would go cut our own tree at a Christmas tree forest. In the United States we have a lot of plans that have of places that grow Christmas trees to cut. They smell so good and original.

I live in the mountains of Idaho outside of a national forest. The U.S. Forest Service is allowing our local market to sell tree permits for $10 so we don't have to drive over to their office across the valley. Just like in the movie, you hike thru the deep snow up a mountain side until you see the perfect tree for your house, cut it & carry it back down the mountain. Thank God everybody owns at least one 4x4. I laugh every time I hear someone on the major news channels in N.Y.C. talk about paying $100 - $200 for their tree.

If you haven't seen National Lampoon's Vacation, the film that started the series, then you're missing out on the best qualities of Clark W Griswold. Eddie isn't a brother to Clark. He is the husband of Catherine, who is cousin to Ellen. Eddie and Catherine appear in most of the Vacation series films, except European Vacation. The guy that plays the boss, is Brian Doyle Murray, brother to Bill Murray. Brian appears in a few films with Chevy Chase or his brother, Bill.

I love the lines cousin' eddy has. I wonder how much of his scenes are just made up on the spot. Reminds me of my mom's cousin and his family. He ised to come over to get the newspaper after my dad read it. Could not have more then 2 lights on in the house. Would always take......all the left overs. Always found ...a little gem of a.....in the trash on trash days.. We would always joke that the only thing he would buy new is a roll of duct tape.....if it's on sale. His neighbor bought his house and tore it down.

Alright! Now you should check out the rest of the Vacation franchise, which has 5 films in the main series: Vacation 1983 European Vacation 1985 Christmas Vacation 1989 Vegas Vacation 1997 Vacation 2015 (reboot/sequel focusing on the son and his family) Then there was a TV movie spin-off sequel to Christmas Vacation that focused on Cousin Eddie. Apparently it's not very good. Everyone says it's trash.

Fun Fact: In each of the 4 Vacation movies, the two Griswald children, are played by 2 different actors. In the first Michael Anthony Hall, who was already a star was the first Rusty. Dana Hill also a star was the 2nd Audrey, sadly she was die from a health related illness at an young age. This one had 2 rising and breakthrough stars. Johnny Geliki, who would go on to fame as Leonard on the Big Bang Theory and Juliette Lewis who would star with Woody Harrelson in the Romantic Comedy. Natural Born Killers. With Rodney Dangerfield in it must be a laugh riot. One interesting thing, first movie the kids are about the same height. 2nd Rusty towers over Audrey. 3rd Audrey taller then Rusty. 4th Rusty taller. Great reaction enjoy you and your channel.

I saw one KZbinr reaction who was HAUNTED by the idea that all the old family video footage will be just lost to time when film projectors don’t work anymore and are already no longer available… she also had huge anxiety issues with falling off the ladder or falling from the 2-story roof. These were NOT FUNNY! for some people. It’s just one nightmare after another (hahaha) from cousin Eddie and the ruined Turkey to the boss kidnapping fiasco over the jelly club membership. But the one thing she liked was when Clark said- “don’t piss me off, Art!”

1. When Clark delivers the present to his boss his boss calls him greaseball. 🤣 Then still doesn't get it right until the end. 2. GOOF: The lights outside the attic window don't match the pattern with the rest of the house. 3. My favorite part is when Ellen pulls the chain on the trap door. 🤣🤣 4. Mae Questel played Aunt Bethany. She was the original Betty Boop and Olive Oyl, This was her last gig.😇 5. In the big rant scene the other actors had Chevy's lines written on placards so he wouldn't get his lines out of order. 6. Living next door to them must be kind of like living next door to the Bundys. 7. Fun fact; Chase actually hurt his hand karate chopping the reindeer. 8. Clark's crazy, Ellen/Beverley D'Angelo is way hotter than the saleswoman. 9. He's going to need that bonus to pay for the damaged house. 10. This IS my Christmas movie every year 11. Fun fact: This is the only Vacation where Audrey is older than Rusty. 12. My picks in order: Christmas, Vacation, European and finally Last Wages. Eddie is Ellen's cousin, not Clark's brother.

Loved this film since I first saw it & watch this every year; & yes I have a Wally World Eggnog glass (always minus the Eggnog 🤢). Fun Fact: Mae Questel, who played Aunt Bethany was also known for providing the voices for the animated characters Betty Boop (from 1931) and Olive Oyl (from 1933). Questel reprised her role as Betty Boop one last time in Who Framed Roger Rabbit & her last non-voice appearance was as Aunt Bethany.

The daft, ne'er-do-well, infuriating-yet-well-intentioned family member, Eddie, that's not Clark's brother, but Ellen's cousin-in-law. Eddie's wife Catherine, she is the cousin of Clark's wife Ellen. Eddie comes off as a real jerk sometimes cause he takes advantage of Clark's kindness and hospitality; and while he's able-bodied, he's always looking for a handout (even though it's very obvious that he's of a certain anti-handout ideology/mindset). In one movie, he refused to work, making his pregnant wife work several jobs with the promise of being able to quit one of them once the baby was born. BUT also... on many occasions, he has shown that he has a really big heart... and he really doe care about his family. He's not really a bad guy, just inappropriate (always trying to get frisky and make-out with Ellen, in front of his own wife), unhygienic, uncouth, and no self-awareness to how odd he is.
