The coldest freezer temp ours achieved was -20*when set on -24* To keep ice creams at -18* we’ve been running ours on -22* With fridge side set to 1* Power usage for 24 hours has been sitting anywhere between 58 ah to 68 ah On AC power We then put 15 zooper doopers in the freezer section set at -24* that already had two frozen water bottles and ice creams. 18 hours later the freezer was still only -10* Then 30 hours later freezer was only -14* Zooper doopers finally frozen but all other icecreams melted. We ran the fridge in the air conditioned car for 5 hours and it used 18ah in 5 hours. After 37 hours the freezer still didn’t get any cooler the -15* although it was set to -24* had to throw out all the icecreams.

We purchased the 50 L legacy dual zone based on all the marketing info, this video included. Sadly we aren’t getting the results all the marketing info displayed. Fastest draw down fridge? Ours takes anywhere between 10 - 15 hours to get to -18 readout with a thermometer, although fridge thinks it’s at temp within a few hours. Freezer needs to be set to -24 to actually get a bin temp of -18 to -20. The display temp matches thermometer at fridge temps but when running as a freezer the bin temperature can be up to 10 degrees warmer then what the fridge dial displays at times. Somedays stays within 3 degrees. All done inside on AC power 22 - 25 ambient temperature. Pre chilled fridge and contents on AC power for 3 days fridge 2deg freezer -24 deg which gave -20 on thermometer. Noticed with dial set to -12 or colder the fridge cycles every 4 minutes on AC power. Put it in car at 3 deg fridge -18 freezer. Highest car temp 35 deg for 2 hours, rest under 25 deg. Used 13.5 ah in 6 hours. Highest amp draw peak was 8.5 amps Turned both sides to 4 degrees, only used 4 amps in 14 hours. Had seen reports of some National luna owners saying they are power hungry if using a side as a freezer. I have to agree. Would hate to see the power draw if both sides were set to freezer.

We question the cool-down capacity of national luna as we’ve been advised by the service agent the complete opposite to whats in this video. We’ve been told it’s perfectly normal for the fridge to raise 8* when placing 2 litres of water in it and 9 hours later still be 5* higher then it’s set point. We’ve also been told adding a 6 pack of beer is placing a large load on the fridge.. Why spend the money when a esky and ice does better 🤷♂️ Where’s the data to show National luna is one of the fastest cool-down fridges on the market? Or is this video simply sales man fluff?

So question, seems to be two schools on this, do you leave the fridge running all the time with stuff inside it or turn off between uses ? So if mounted in a 4WD in between uses can plug into AC mains when garaged and switch across to the 12v DC when out and about ? Being a full compressor fridge it is often said leaving them off for too long a period can affect internal lubrication etc ?

Hi. I have the 72 L dual unit on my boat. It has been a sensational performer until yesterday. It came up with Fault code 2 relating to the vent fan. I disconnected the power and reconnected and it started ok indicating temps on both sides. Ran for a little while and then shut down. Have checked all fuses and input voltage is very healthy (13.2v). Now when I reconnect it, the displays show all numeric LEDs on for about 1 second (all "8s") and then nothing. When I hold in the power on/off button for more than 3 secs, still nothing. Any thoughts? I haven't run on AC yet to compare. It may be terminal

You didn’t say the amp draw

Mine uses 4x the power when set to 3c/-18c vs 4c/4c over 24 hours. 2.08 ah/h vs 0.51 ah/h A big increase considering freezer is only 11 Litres. Yet to test amp draw when set to -18/-18 Peak amp draw I’ve seen is 8.9 amps. 3c/-18c

I’ve had six fridges , of all different brands, including national lunar, currently on the road permanently and have a bushman 130l upright and an Engel 35 litre slide out freezer - what a disappointment they are when compared to national lunar, by far and away the best fridge/ freezer I have ever owned. Don’t buy anything else

Your not telling the viewers how you guys don't respond to emails, and by the looks comments here to. You don't have a clue what your talking about, you shouldn't be wearing the logo. Your the middle man, the lunch boy, a pretender.

They rarely respond & they pretend they didn’t receive emails. They don’t return phone calls. National luna is so fantastic it couldn’t ever have issues. A non working fridge out of the box and they make out the client is an idiot. We’ve lined up another video review to be done over the break. Will the National luna redeem itself after spending a month at the service agent from being defective out of the box.?Issue is, we are still waiting to get the fridge back. We don’t expect it will do much better as we’ve been told our findings are perfectly normal for Nation Luna. A warning to potential buyers, look past the glossy marketing without actual data to back it up and you’ll see many negative reviews for what is an expensive fridge.
