It depends on your definition, government never transfers ownership😊 that happens rarely. Just like any other government in the world our government also is a control freak combined with the weak civil rights of a masses that is why you and me and many more like us and their parents push us and we also push ourselves to become the part of the system that suppresses the potential of masses, millions of students are not preparing to become government servant in any developed countries, this phenomenona is restricted to only countries like us

Ek criticism ye bhi hai ki taxpayers have already paid for building of the brownfield asset. Now they will pay highly for using it too (private players will expectedly increase service rates).

In simple words Asset monetization is using unused asset for generating money. . Till the idea of using that particular thing for revenue generation, it's not an asset. It can be a leftover, abandoned, seized, unused, more than actual requirements matter. Like land, air space, space, bands, telecom lines, railway lines in less uses, tracks, various places and lot more. .

This system of revenue generation is good but comes with some concerns as well. For example Jio. Initially it lured people with attractive offers and services but later on, it is looting people without providing proper committed service. Means to say that the firms operating any system which brings a major change to the country should be taken under strict regulations. . Atleast this is innocent people only who always have to suffer the consequences.
