The National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast is an annual recognition of the contribution that Christianity makes to the national life of the UK. In 2023 the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast is chaired by Lord Curry of Kirkharle. Our theme this year is ‘The Power of Forgiveness in Public Life’ and we are delighted that our main speaker will be Dr Amy Orr-Ewing, honorary lecturer at the University of Aberdeen School of Divinity.

Superbly crafted talk - Forgiveness is no weak or cheap option; human sense of need for moral justice shows we are image bearers of a Creator God and mitigates against random processes explaining human life itself. Great musical contribution too.

Just wondering about other peoples opinion; is it possible to forgive without god/Jesus. There is evidence that humans developed and evolved the capacity to forgive similar to how the quality of revenge developed in pre-society times.
