The Yearlings and Old bird category conquered the podium by Walter De Ruyck from Nazareth, and Casaert - Senechal from Russeignies, Belgium.
Here are the two winners of the 1st National Race of the 2024 season.
The National winner Belgium from Bourges 1, 2024 in the category "Old birds" is Casaert-Senechal (Russeignies).
The pigeon band number BE22-4150252 was clocked on Saturday after a race of 438856km, achieving an average velocity of 1355.05 m/min. This pigeon is from the line of Porche 911 cross Spyder Thomas 236 from the combination Thomas 6 of Mike Ganus and Spyder 006 of PIPA elite Center.
Walter De Ruyck, based in Nazareth, achieved an impressive feat by winning 1st National Bourges with a pigeon band number of B23-4018766. This victory was against a total of 18,785 yearbirds and a staggering 42,791 birds in the race. The distance covered was approximately 465 kilometers, and the pigeon achieved an impressive velocity of 1,365.47 meters per minute.
