I hear more of your influences in this. Let me say to you Paul, brilliant! I don't know who you are, but now I want to. That's a compliment, sir.

This is so good! Thank you for sharing. I was looking for demos of the Reso rocket and came across your video. But I keep coming back because of the song and your voice/playing. This is a reminder of how many artists are out there that I would love to regularly listen to and can only hope to stumble across like this. Please keep posting!

Dude! This is special in every way. The voice, the technique, the style. Unbelievable! Keep up the good work! I've watched all your videos and now I'm pissed there aren't more. BTW, what mic are you using?
@MrPaulWelten8 жыл бұрын
+MQMusic1 Wow, thanks for your encouragement. When I uploaded it, I wasn't sure if people were going to get it. I'm so glad for the reaction. The mike is a Sony ECM-Ds 70P stereo.

@MrPaulWelten7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your good words. If you get the reso I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed mine. Tuning is open D tuned down to C. Lots of luck! And lots of joy! Paul

What tuning do you use? Or is it a per song tuning?
@gaseunhieght8 жыл бұрын
I have to say more than that is real cool. Your playing is Magic. Great technique and magnificent choice of notes and phrasing. Some hammer on pull off stuff that reminds me of something Albert Collins would do. It is beautifully performed. I hope you're making money playing music if that's what you want. Could you please tell me is that a steel body or a brass body Reso Rocket? That guitar sounds great and clear.

+gaseunhieght Yours are motivating words! If you really want to know, one of my influences in this song, besides the Blues, is the Egyptian singer Umm Kulthum. My Reso is a German silver brass body, bought from the irreplaceable Mandoline Brothers, when Stan was still alive - it has been the love of my music life.
