It’s also possible to embrace indigenous culture whilst also acknowledging we are in the 21st century and indigenous culture was largely paused from similar social progression since the 19th century due to invasion.

While this may have some truth to it. As an Aboriginal female Elder. This is totally fine and not disrespectful. Only in ceremonies is the dij played by men only. I also know of an Aboriginal woman being gifted with a dij by male traditional owners who made it for her as a gift showing high esteem and respect. They also taught her how to play it. So no its not primarily male. Colonialism misunderstands alot of our cultural nuances and propagate them through white male views. Anyway be well. : )

This is an excellent version, so uplifting, gave me goosebumps. My only critique is that after the Covid elbow scene, there is an image of three children playing musical instruments- piano, violin and the didgeridoo. The fact that a female is playing the didge is extremely culturally insensitive and I can’t believe this wasn’t picked up by anyone putting it together.
