When I was living in San Francisco in the 90's, the Rainbow Flag was only flown in the Castro (the "gay" neighborhood). Fast forward 30 years and it is being hung at the White House. So sad.

Actually, the color test pattern has a very specific technical purpose every color even the order they are in is important in calibrating tv equipment.

The problem with pride flag is that there are no rules, so therefore it can be changed. It’s followers can be manipulated. Someone could say oh pride is about sacrificing your favorite pet once a year. Pride is about burning down churches to free you from oppression. Anyone can join. The pride flag keeps changing. None of the colors are set in stone. A powerful influencer could put a goat head on it and everyone else would follow. The purest children can easily be manipulated into joining LGBT. That’s why it’s dangerous. A 6yr old kid who would’ve been the next president gets tricked into thinking he’s a girl. The teachers and his parents tell him oh you would look so pretty in a dress. You show signs of being a “she”. By the times he’s 13 he would realize he’s actually been a boy this whole time and his whole identity would be baseless. He’d be too afraid to speak up, too shameful having to keep dresses in his closet only to wear them in his sleep, and put on work clothes in the day.

The LGBT flag should be to represent all of the community. What has happened is that other external groups have attached themselves to the community and have started spreading their own ideologies under the shade of it so that if a person is to speak against them, it would be considered as homophobic. This itself has placed the entire community under a bad light. The original rainbow flag is to symbolise all of the suffering that our community went through for decades fighting for our rights and to receive our rightful place in the society and as a symbol of peace. My belief is that the original rainbow flag is what truely represents our community and that no alteration should be done to it. 🏳️‍🌈

The Philadelphia and Pride Progress flags were meant not to indicate any kind of deficiency or non-inclusion by the regular Rainbow Flag, but to give special emphasis to first people of color, and then to transgender and intersex people. It's not a contest, and the regular Rainbow Flag remains perfectly fine. As for the number of stripes being reduce from eight down to six, that was a change done by original Rainbow Flag designer Gilbert Baker back in the 1970s. He eliminated a couple of fabric colors that were not as easy to find. It didn't affect the intended meaning of the flag at all. If the U.S. flag truly represented everyone, then anti-LGBT+ discrimination would not continue to exist, and the Republican Party would not still be refusing to pass the Equality Act.
