I am 9 and I always wanted to be an actor. It is my dream becoming one and I am not giving up. It looks amazing being in a film. I would love to be in one! I like this video and from now on I will try and do this every day. I am sure these warm ups will help me. Thank you for making this video! 🙂

If you want to and you work hard at it you absolutely will be. Just put it out there in the universe and be relentless about how hard you work to prepare for it and you will be in movies!! (I am in my first movie starting next week... It really can happen!)

This was a very fun and enjoyable Warm-up Session! I will add this to my routine of practicing voice acting. I myself have never gotten into a drama class that let me be on stage or a theater club but Id Luv to if my future college has one! I would LOVE to see more videos like this if possible.

Did you see this video from the National Theatre? I can't understand why it doesn't have more views -- it's so fun and interesting to see how the voice coach works with actors to get them to connect with the audience far away: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHjImJVtqrWFiNU -- Also, Doris Day said that James Cagney gave her the best advice about how to act -- "Look the other guy in the eye, and give it to him straight." Good luck!

I don't understand what we're trying to achieve with the resonance exercise and why it is important.
@tadshafer
@tadshafer 5 жыл бұрын
This is an exercise for theatre actors. If you can’t resonate your voice within a space, then you can’t fill it. Being able to harness and calibrate resonance is a key tool for any vocal performer.
@DimitriosDenton
@DimitriosDenton 5 жыл бұрын
So it's all about learning how to resonate my voice within a space?
@tashspeak3877
@tashspeak3877 4 жыл бұрын
@@DimitriosDenton no not just that - your body is full of resonators - it's learning to free those up and let the sound roll around in them because it has different effects when it comes from different places and being able to project it so you're able to use your body as a resonator to produce a rich large sound without damaging yourself by straining your vocal chords and shouting your lines. a lot of people instinctively compress their vocal chords and create tension in their bodies which actually makes it harder to get sound out - the power needs to come from your diaphragm and you need to be open enough for it to pass through your vocal chords without forcing it using the muscles surrounding it which can actually injure you. Hopefully some of that makes sense. I'd suggest trying out some exercises esp lying down with your eyes closed and directing a 'maaaaaaaa' or an 'eeeeeee' to different areas of your body - play around with it and see how the sound changes. Actors and singers both need to be able to relax their bodies and learn how to resonate. Good luck and have fun :)
