What a delight this video is. The home is grand and the restoration is magnificent. Thank you for the trip in time and the history behind it.

Beautifully made short video. As part of my hobbyist study of British country houses, I grew used to the former color scheme of the great hall. While I almost miss the marble checkerboard, the restoration is so timeless and elegant, it makes me wonder when and why the bold, dramatic scheme came to be. And although I wish the view to the sea could be restored, the enclosed nature of the extravagantly lovely gardens gives the park an otherworldly, enchanted quality. Mount Stewart seems a world away. During the troubles, this seemed almost perverse. I pray turmoil and violence remain at bay in Northern Ireland. Rather, I wish for everybody's sake the serenity and peace of Mount Stewart filters outward to all.

Mount Stewart was originally the home of the Stewart Family - the Marquess of Londonderry. That name came from the City and County of Londonderry. That name Londonderry has been prolific in the news worldwide, over the past 50 years or so, and everyone and their granny knows that it's pronounced with 4 syllables as - Lun-Don-Day - Ree. ( not disrespectful to those who say Derry only) But where does the presenter here get Londondrey (Lun-Don- Dray ) from? I thought at first he had made a mistake, but the he continued, and repeated it many times.
