Honestly I can see myself in the moment, at least right now, getting flamingly angry at anyone treating conscientious objectors of the religious variety harshly. Its one of the founding principles of this nation, to be able to worship how you wanted. These men still showed up to serve and did not dodge the draft as many of their friends did. If anyone wanted to spit on the constitution and declaration of independence then I would have been willing to bust them in the mouth and take the court martial, from Leonard Wood down to the lowest private. Make a big deal of it out of the papers. See what Wilson has to say then, making the world safe for democracy but his own home hostile to its founding principles on the biggest stage.
