I’ve always been curious about what lies ahead on Old Perkinsville Road, now I know! We usually don’t go farther than the turn offs to Dogtown Lake or White Horse Lake (both beautiful and with great campgrounds)! One of these times up that way, I’ll continue on 😊. Thanks, Jon and take care always.

Perkinsville is on Perkins ranch. The station was used for steam trains until the 1960s. That's the why for private property signs. The ranch was established around 1900 before the station which was also a site for a John Wayne movie.

Hey, that is it! I´ve done this road 30 years ago. The road looks paved now. I would like do drive that road again, but with my 81 years it´s not possible again. Greetings from old Germany!

Nice video Jon! About a mile and a quarter north of the Verde River Bridge, you can take FS road 9004W down to the RR bridge at Perkinsville. (or least I did some years ago) There used to be a quarry where you saw that stone structure, maybe it was a platform for some kind of conveyor equipment. BTW those red rocks you pointed out are near Sedona.

can you pull a 30' RV down the road? places to camp?
@jonmanjeotАй бұрын
Plenty of places to camp along the road and I'm not really familiar with towing something that long, but the road was well maintains and you don't really need high clearance either. Best of luck!
