Native American music plays a vital role in history and education, with ceremonies and stories orally passing on ancestral customs to new generations. Native American ceremonial music is traditionally said to originate from deities or spirits, or from particularly respected individuals. Rituals are shaped by every aspect of song, dance and costuming, and each aspect informs about the makers, wearers and symbols important to the nation, tribe, village, clan, family, or individual. Native Americans perform stories through song, music and dance, and the historical facts thus propagated are an integral part of Native American beliefs. Epic legends and stories about culture heroes are a part of tribal music traditions, and these tales are often an iconic part of local culture.
Traditional Music Channel is for everyone who has a passion for music.
Music is an expression of human creativity. UNESCO reports that among all the performing arts, music is the most universal and is found in every society, most often as an integral part of other performing art forms and other domains of intangible cultural heritage.
Traditional forms of music are considered carriers of cultural heritage because they represent expressions and traditions transferred through generations of a community.
With recordings from more than hundred nations our collection of traditional music offers a staggering diversity of our humanity.

I love this music because it reminds me that there was a time and space in history when every human being, plant, rock and animal were considered sacred. This thought helps me cope with the trauma of living in this profane age where nothing is sacred including life itself.

The native American spirit is the healing for the world. You are the greatest warrior s and the connection to mother earth you represent true humanity. The white man has to be ashamed of all his destruction around the world. We are living in an alien nation lost and far away from humanity. You remind peoples to become better. You are legandary and the spirit will never die. My heart mind and soul is with you. Forever.- From a german woman.

Real traditional Native music is WAY better than the Westernized copies you see at Disney land... It actual has deep spiritual meaning!
@ivoliaktc5014
@ivoliaktc5014 5 жыл бұрын
Really? I mean, there is a lot of beautiful folk music to be found, stuff that is actually nice to listen to as opposed to this. Don't tell me this is something you'd casually listen to while studying or at a party for instance. Also, to suggest that 'traditional' music is better than music which takes inspiration from traditional music is kind of ignorant, something that is older/the original definitely doesn't mean it's better. I haven't heard the specific Disney songs which you mention, but most Disney songs are quite alright. To say that it's better because of some deep spiritual meaning is simply ridiculous. Then again, who am I to state the opposite of your comment, since taste in music is pretty much subjective anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Savagery...to destroy more than what s necessary to gain a military advantage. Then, the use of weapons for m a s s destruction is.Savagery. Not to forget that nukes destroy Nature...it s not necessary to destroy plants and animals....yet the fossil fuel industry did and does that in many places...the Amazons, the Gulf of Mexico...a long list....Welcome to the ghastly spectacle of Modern Savagery!

somehow i think much more clearly and sleep so much better with this music in the background..it is so alive and wildly spirited but at the same time very stabilizing to the body and soul...occasionally i feel free enough to join in and let it all out to help heal the sorrows or pleasures of the past or future days to come...this is when freedom rings#!!

May the Great Spirit continue to bless and protect His First Children. I am not of Native ancestry, but that doesn't mean I'm not doing a sacred dance in my heart and physical space as I listen. My mom always said we were native American and i use to say no way. I look white but im mexican. Then my sister took the blood test and boom 40% i was like damn that's practically half. My mom was right i ashamed i doubted her. The native culture has always meant something to me but now even more since i know it's in my blood. This music gives me peace and helps me when i am depressed.

I’m just crying right now, I’ve seen so many people of other colour hate on my people... they literally beat us and stole our land, forced us to speak English. I don’t know my own language or my own culture.. all I know about my language is “tugeye” which means bitch and that says a lot. I’m just 17 and I can still learn.. I just don’t know who to ask because most of my family are whitewashed. I’m going to live in the wilderness because I don’t think I can take the hate anymore I’ve been called mean names and been looked at like a savage and even followed in the stores. I found a location where to put my camp area... it’s near my hometown (btw my hometown is focused on Christianity than their own culture... that’s how much this whole thing impacted my people) my heart can’t take it anymore...

They are related. History tells us all Native American people (including the peoples living in the South) came from Asia across the Bering Strait, and that's why there are people living in Americas even tho there's an ocean around it. And that's also why Native American people have similar culture to Native Asians (like religious culture) Tl;dr: As history tells us, people passed the Bering, some stayed in the North and some went to the South.
