“So live your life so the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their views, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide. Always give a word or sign of salute when meeting or passing a stranger if in a lonely place. Show respect to all people, but grovel to none. When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life and strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies in yourself. Touch not the poisonous firewater that makes wise ones turn to fools and robs them of their visions. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.” ~Tecumseh

True words. The reason why the nature is bleeding and everything around us seems false or incomplete is because many of us have forgotten that we are the nature and the nature live within us. Distracted by the false meanings and media consumption man has forgotten that all the answers are to be found in the nature and its creatures. Love, joy and peace is what we have to radiate to realize how easygoing life can be. Spending time in the nature by just observing it brings so much joy and freedom. It’s better than any movie, at least for me.

You are so so right. When I go too the door and look outside I always observe the nature. I see and know when a limb or branch in a tree has been hit by lightning. I notice when the grass is dieing in certain spots because of lack of rain not from you not watering it. There is so much to notice and be discovered. I notice that the birds are not as many as they use to be. No butterfly's no bees as it use to be. Nature is being destroyed day by day. There's nothing left to dwell on like it use to be. Man has gone on to destroy the beauty of the earth and the world. "I LOVE NATURE AND WHAT ONCE WAS"! Building being replaced and nature being torn down making ways for greed of money bringing in more crime....SO SAD!😢💞🙄

I am not ancestrally connected to the indigenous peoples of the America's but my entire life I have felt connected to them. Even in the ridiculous ways in which Hollywood has and sometimes still does portray them- I could still see the humility, strength, courage and commit to their beliefs shine through and I have always valued those qualities. I have spent the last 15 years of my life educating myself on native topics, and what I have found is a belief that Indigenous Ways of Being is the only way to be. Indigenous peoples hold the wealth of knowledge needed for hearts, minds, and bodies. I am so elated at how they are rising up out of the dark stain of the past to reignite the soul of their ancestors. They are leading again! Leading the way for their children, and doing it with a glad and happy heart. May all indigenous peoples of the world stay true to what they have always known no matter what happens because when Mother Earth reaches the end of her patience (which is very, very near) the indigenous peoples, and those who share in the beat of that heart, will be the only ones who will survive, and then they will spend the next several thousand years working with our Great Mother to restore her back to balance. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom with all of us. I take it to heart and hopefully I can help spread that wisdom to other hearts. May Great Spirit bring many more people into the Great Awareness

Only those who have their heart in the right place can take us to a better place. The wisdom of our ancestors is paramount to our living - taking care of Mother Earth - taking less and living more. We could have created a better place for all of us - embracing love and empathy - most chose greed and hatred - the ancestors still speak to us - and we willing to listen - have we prepared ourselves - to live forever.

I come from the Shawnee people ,& my late husband's family dated back to the Oklahoma trail of tears. They were dirt poor but felt blessed & if u asked why..." I have a pot of beans & a rooftop; Im happy"! She has long passed as did my husband but sometimes when I feel sad or hopeless I remember to always " listen to the one you feed" . yocokee luwa 😔

Please continue these - on Native American proverbs and quotes. This is absolutely perfect! I read and listen to Stoic content just as much as Native American. And each seems to have their own "right" time for me. Content wise, haven't found much like this one in particular so would he awesome to have more of these 😊. Cheers mate!
