This is helpful Teacha Karen.🙂 I really like your enthusiasm and energy. If I were a mom, I would enroll my child on you. 🙂🙂By the way teacha, how do we teach kids who do not want to read their textbooks?
@TeachaKaren2 жыл бұрын
You gotta get your student's buy-in (their acceptance and willingness to learn), that's why it's important to establish a good relationship with them before getting into "business". Try small talk, rapport, playing games, try to make them like you, make them feel you care so they would be more cooperative. When all else fails, involve the parent, ask to speak to their parent or leave a note for them

Great job as always teacher! keep up the good work, you're going to get bigger and bigger believe me. I just wanted to ask you about NC and if they're hiring rn ? because I'm willing to start applying this month and I wonder if they're still hiring. If not do you think we're still in the first wave of online ESL teaching and the work market is not saturated yet?
@TeachaKaren2 жыл бұрын
Yes, they're still hiring. I don't think ESL has already become saturated because despite the rapid growth, more and more ESL companies and growing and searching for their teachas.

Great video, thank you! Question: Teacha Karen, could you hear that audio feedback while you were teaching? What can we do to stop it when that happens to us?
@TeachaKaren2 жыл бұрын
Sometime we do not have control over it. It's because it's on the student's end not ours.... usually, I don't hear any feedback using my Jabra headset

Teacher karen any ideas po if low ratings po . 😪
@TeachaKaren2 жыл бұрын
You have to upgrade your teaching skills... like read and understand why you got low rating by reading the notes of the evaluator (the student) ... then you have to use props, add knowledge extension to your classes and make sure you look and sound like a pro
@jaysonasuela10332 жыл бұрын
Hi Teacher Karen. I was a Native Camp teacher before. I was informed by an admin after a class not to use props during the class. Is it allowed now?
@TeachaKaren2 жыл бұрын
It should be, there's nothing wrong in using learning / teaching aid especially if it is beneficial to students. They may be pertaining to unnecessary props that do not have a teaching goal / agenda
