I own the S-series 61-key MK1 which for some inexplicable reason, Native Instruments just decided to not support anymore. The keyboard line that was made specifically for the Komplete Kontrol Software, is phased out. There's literally no good reason to do this other than to try and get you to buy another 800+ dollar controller. I had to uninstall the 3.2 version and install the 2.9.6 version in order to continue using my keyboard controller. Arturia would never do this. I purchased their Pigment software version 3. They gave me versions 4 and 5 (the latest) for free as an upgrade. Same thing with their microfreak. Just giving away riches....that's called good customer service. Take notes

Well, that would be something that would have to be passed to Native Instruments. There is always good and bad to all this stuff. I feel ya though!!
@jetmerlin412-_29 ай бұрын
Truth I have to admit that! Arturia has that new workstation now $1,600 but it supports everything practically they made within the last 8 years.

We need it to have standalone plugins without the need of a computer just like machine and then add a built in interface and this will make it the best keyboard on the market not only for studio but for live performances as well.
@Creative_Spasciz11 ай бұрын
So I have a question to that....are people ready to pay that amount that it would be in bulk?? That joint would be very expensive. So I look at it from that end??
@The_Sonic_Oasis11 ай бұрын
@@Creative_Spasciz I mean they could always have 2 different versions. A standalone version and controller only version, similar to what Abelton did with the Push 3. There's always a market willing to splash the cash if it solves a particular problem. And they could build it in such a way that you could always upgrade your normal MK3 into the standalone version with a simple DIY kit.

If you want a standalone you need to go with Akai, I’m not with that standalone phase because I love working with all of my Vst plugins inside my Mac . To each his/her own. I got my s49 mk3 last year and I absolutely love it.

@@Creative_Spasciz i did my homework. I have maschine mk3 so I will not miss the 5 super important buttons lol. I would like to have on board scale/settings/arp & nks2. I spent 2 days with mk2 and I'm willing to sell it. I was also surprised how less functional the S mk2 compared to Maschine mk3 on Maschine software. I'm not gonna miss it. I rode the idiot wave and even made thread on reddit about not being excited and disappointed at mk3. But now I take back my words, nks2 is more important than anything else. I can’t deal with 16 pages of nonsense. Cheers Edit: fyi I received my brand new s61mk2 two days ago for good deal but I'm will to pay the difference to upgrade.

It’s not going to satisfy everyone. Nothing will. I would love to see Pads and Stand alone with some type of Komplete file swapping. Yes it would be 3999.00 but a 256 polyphonic hardware machine even without a sequencer or with an improved Machine Daw integrated would be cool. It would definitely put Roland, Korg and Yamaha on the hot seat. Just thinkin’

@@YEE941it’s not a downgrade because the next maschine will obviously have tight integration like before. The current maschine still operates at its max which is nks 1.0. The new komplete komtrol upgraded nks 2.0. This means anything else NI release will be supported on the new platform. Why didn’t they come out with “maschine mk4” first? Because the keyboards hasn’t had a big update in a long time. I’m not claiming to know the inside info but it just doesn’t make any sense they would move this direction without integration.
