I've been interested in languages for a while and always wanted to learn Japanese. Well, my wife and I just started learning Japanese today! I can't wait to come back to this video and understand it without the need of subtitles. I don't know how long it will take us, but I'm just happy to have finally started the journey! Ok, time to get back to learning hiragana! Wish me luck.

Itâs really great to have a partner share the same interests with you, so how is it going so far?
Itâs hard to understand whenever I do listening in JLPT exam as a beginner. But here, at your channel, I can catch up and understand (almost 80%)what you are speaking.â€Your podcast makes me motivated a lot.ðâ€ããããšããYãŠYãŠãããâ€

I was just having the same feeling! JLPT listenings sometimes are difficult to understand, even JLPT N4. However these podcasts are easy to take. Even though I don't understand 100%, I get 80% ð
Learning a new language is ad if we are children again, listen, mimic, absorb then speak. Why learn to read and write something one had no knowledge about. I learned english by listening most of the time, my father spoke English and so did my grandmother, then as years went by I started to speak, not perfect but enough, but I was still in my native country where Spanish is the main language so when I went to the US I already had the basics. For me being around native speakers 24/7 its what got me speaking in a short period of time. Nowdays I am a simultaneous interpreter so I have experience on this topic. Good luck to you allâ€â€â€
This is the first time I am watching your podcast. As someone who wants to study nihongo, listening to your podcast really helps. And I am thinking of buying the book too. Thank you! :D
It's been a long time since I last listened to Yuyu san's podcast. Couldn't believe how much I can now understand it. It was so hard before ð. Not sure the whole thing that was shared in this vid, but it seems that the book is a meaningful one to Yuyu san. Thanks for sharing! Will come back and listen to the podcast more from tomorrow onwards.
thank you for your book osusume and podcast. im studying japanese right now, and im preparing my JLPT test as well. listening to materials like these helps me a lot.
Appreciate the external microphone positioned properly. It makes listening far more pleasant and therefore very effective in listening and internalizing the monologue.

Learning Japanese here. Slowed the video to .75 and it's perfect for making out each sound. Thank you for these podcasts even though I have no idea what's being said yet lol

i find this really helpful! as i'm a beginner in learning the japanese language i assumed that i wouldn't be able to understand anything, but i surprised myself and understood more than i expected! ð only 5 minutes in and i already have learned so much.... ããããšãããããŸã!
It's super interesting that I understand everything you say and I've only been listening to music and watching videos in Japanese for 1 year and the only vocabulary I know is from an N5 vocabulary book XD
I just bought the book. Thanks for your recommendation.

It's been roughly a month into learning Japanese myself and i'm happy to be able to pick out some words from the conversation although I have no idea what's going on ðthank you for the video nonetheless. ããããšãïŒ
Thank you for this podcast †that book is my first jnovel that I read and completed. Also I read the English version to fully understand the story. Itâs a good novel for beginners, not too easy and not too hard. No furigana so you need to search some words. I use ebook to read it so itâs easy to search the uncommon word.
Thank you for making these videos, they're incredibly helpful.
