Hillary Peters is the Director of Land Stewardship at Lake Forest Open Lands. A graduate of Northern Michigan University with a degree in Environmental Science, Hillary’s journey into environmental stewardship began in her childhood hometown of Mundelein, IL. Hillary’s leadership encompasses working with professional crews to engaging with volunteer groups, private landowners, and civic groups fostering a sense of community in conservation stewardship. Through Open Lands’ land stewardship initiatives, Hillary strives to ensure a harmonious balance between conservation and community engagement.
