I loved watching David playing both roles at once. I wondered how they did that. I also liked how he had two different voices. For Roderick, he had a deeper voice and brought out more of the brogue. For Donald, he used his more natural voice. I also never knew until watching this that he has a bit of a fear of heights. Of course, if I were dangling from halfway down a mountain, I'd be scared, too!

They shot each scene twice, with David talking to himself. He did both voices. You see a bit of it in this feature. He's not as high as it seems in the movie, and as far as I can tell he has no problem with that. he went much higher for Doctor Who scenes and had no problems. I think it's the character who's afraid of heights.

jessmasterfrey that's a good point. I assumed with it being a behind-the-scenes thing that they hadn't started rolling yet. You're right, it's more likely the character that's scared of heights and not David himself.

Love how the woman who played angel Matthews was in doctor who with David tennant as the human he falls in love with in 1913. The woman who plays his wife in this plays queen Elizabeth in doctor who in the 50th anniversary special with David tennant. The doctor who special came after this so I can’t help but think David helped her get the role in doctor who. 😅 There are so many people on this movie set who played a character in doctor who 😂

The script would be what the director wants to have happen in the scene. For example, "Mr. Peterson walks onto the school grounds and is seen by Mr. Poppy and the kids. Mr. Poppy confronts Mr. Peterson and the kids chase Mr. Peterson around the schoolyard." If you've seen something in the commedia del arte style of theatre, this is pretty similar to that.

Dt sir David Tennant sweetie if my memory serves me correctly and then I'm pretty sure it does there was an episode called new new new new new new New York as your character came with a cable as a strip cord with you and Billie Piper and you're saying you're afraid of heights what poops he does that mean you had a stunt double when you did that that's a ?

The episode was called New Earth. Second series of the rebooted Doctor Who, episode 1, right after the Christmas episode The Christmas Invasion, which introduced David’s Doctor to the world. In the episode Billie and David propel down a lift shaft. In the same series, in episodes 8 and 9 The Impossible Planet/Satan’s Pit David does a stunt where his repelling over the pit (in reality a query) where you can see him hanging much higher over ground. As high as BBC Health and Safety would allow. So I don’t believe he is scared of heights.
