What a great tradition to remember the real meaning of Christmas. My kids always played with a nativity set that I crocheted. My grandkids now keep it under their tree.

Love that! And especially because now your grandkids can play with it!

Catching replay. Have enjoyed this cast as well as the previous ones. Nativity scenes one in every room at least and up year round . They are nor big at all. I have made cards with the nativity scenes on them and those are the ones people keep and thank me for

Karen, I love all of your podcasts I've been able to listen to and watch. Thank you all for brightening my Christmas. My husband and I live a great distance from our children and grandchildren and both our parents have passed away, my mom only this year. Thank you so much especially for this podcast. God bless you and your family.

We appreciate your comments, Irene. Life keeps changing, doesn't it? But its always good to be reminded of the past - and all of those special people that have gone before us too.

Loving the podcast. As a child my parents had the 3-piece naivety set from Frank’s Nursery and Crafts. I inherited them and added the animals. Franks went out of business. Years later I found the Shepherd and sheep from the series. A few years later I found the three wise men (eBay). I have a rustic stable I’ve put a small dim light in. Every year I put it out with straw it sits on. I feel closer to Christ and parents.

Fun tradition. When my dad remarried, he married a Dane. She gave us 4 girls a new tradition of the rice pudding with a blanched almond. The one who got it, got the first gift of Christmas. We did our gifts on Christmas Eve. We actually ate Tapioca pudding not rice pudding (no one liked rice pudding or the tradional Danish prize of Marzipan).

I love that tradition - so fun to see similar things done in different ways and for different purposes

I am enjoying your pod cast. And am so curious with the wall behind Karen. Is that a Carom board?

Yes it is! We loved playing that when we were kids - its missing lots of the pieces now!
