Endure pain is such a great skill. It's basically god mode and ignores pretty much all damage except for one shots.

Its the effect from yearning relic set, increase atk and move speed by 8% at 4p and 8% dmg at 6p

One thing I noticed. Even though you have head attacks and shields you don't really force it for dmg unlike me. Guess that's why I'm stuggling to stay alive as a red gunlancer?

Staying alive > doing damage > doing the best damage you can with your class (head attack in this case). Sort of the rule to live by (literally). As you learn the fight better you know when and what you can get away with and you will start pushing harder ;)

@@_Tomon Indeed. When I first tried to solo Velganos I did hardly any damage as I was focusing on learning the mechs. Now I know exactly when I can apply DPS and beat him quickly without taking any damage.

Depends on Engraving. Rage Hammer goes mainly for Crit but some Swiftness is welcome and so is Spec later on. It's one of the few classes that actually uses 3 stats (but still mostly Crit, depending on your gear and other engravings). For the Gravity Training you go all Spec to build identity quicker and make it stronger. Second stat on your neck should be Crit to boost your damage further.

Can't say much about rage hammer, but I've been playing gravity training this past week since the west release of the class. I play 50/50 crit spec for gravity training. Didn't get crazy high quality stuff yet as it's the first week and I'm cheap, but I managed to get 4x3 engravings with roughly 950 crit 950 spec. It depends a little on what you have available, though. For Gravity Training: Personally I'd recommend 923+ crit and the rest in spec if you have Lostwind Cliff set for 7% crit. Reason is that 923 crit = 33% crit rate. So you have 33% crit + 7% cards + 15%/25% argos set + 30% gravity training. Meaning 55%/65% neutral crit rate and 85%/95% in hypergravity. Reason I wouldn't push too close to 100 normally is that sometimes classes bring crit synergy and you overcap crit then (like gunslinger, deadeye, glaivier, wardancer). You could also run roughly 28% crit rate as that would give you 50%/60% neutral and 80%/90% during hypergravity, which makes crit synergy classes more efficient. But I'd say only do that if you know you will play with a crit synergy class. Depending on the gear you want to run, adjust the numbers accordingly. I think it's best to focus being around 60% crit rate (including cards, set bonus). If you got that down, put the rest into spec. I think you have quite some choices for engravings depending on what you're looking for. I went with: Gravity Training 3 Keen Blunt 3 (because gravity training doesn't have crit damage increase like rage hammer, and I get 65% neutral and 95% hypergravity crit rate so it's quite efficient) Spirit Absorption 3 (getting used to the class and it's easier to learn with some speed, also attack speed gives hypergravity more hits = more damage) Barricade 3 (you have shields during all your damage skills and hypergravity, so it's a given)

With gravity, how many windows would there be to actually use identity? I'm liking gravity training but not sure how practical bonking every 20-30 seconds is in raids.

I'm starting to wonder this as well. I went with hammer of rage build but it seems like gravity training is more applicable in raid situations. There seems to be very little windows where you want to be putting yourself at risk with charge skills and rather just wait for opportune moments to dps. Wouldn't gravity training be more beneficial in that sense?

@@highlander8419 I'm saying - it seems like the only "good" time for a destroyer to do damage to a raid boss is (especially valtan) is when he is either staggered or not going to be moving for a prolonged period of time. Doing moves outside of that just seems to put you in danger of getting knocked off or just plain wiped. If you are only doing damage during times of stagger, why not just go full out with gravity build since thats where it shines?

If you're a support with Awakening 3, just use them anytime it's up. Valtan fight doesn't last longer than 6 minutes and you can do 6 Awakenings in that 6 minutes.

@@p6id btw this is not a good advice at all. Always always recommend newbies to learn all the mechanics, they can be lazy after they have mastered the mechanics. I did this on my blade, did every mechanic properly and it not only felt very satisfying but it is the correct and proper approach towards any raids.

you may run keen blunt but his class engravings 'Rage of Hammer' and head/back attack relic set have already enough crit rate (so keen blunt's efficiency is lower than 14% ) so ppl usually run Grudge, Rage of Hammer, Supercharge (3 are fixed) and barricade, cursed doll, Master Brawler, (pick 2 of them) and adrenaline/Spirit Absorption (pick one of them for +5)

Some rough numbers: Valtan relic set on himself and supports and it is like 50% more dps, at least 1 extra engraving compared to most people is an additional 16%, cardset is an other 15ish% more than we have. And that is just Albert right, we got no idea what the other people have gear wise, some of them are maybe 5x3 and 1500 GS, I got no idea. In a typical Valtan run for western release you don't have time to run around like this.

They have the power advantage for sure but only because they've been playing a lot longer and invested more. I don't think it changes the fact that knowing the mechanics of a raid and every smallest detail of your class is the most important thing above level and gear score.
