Sweden, Norway and Poland have deployed their militaries closer to Russia’s borders as Donald Trump has returned to the White House. In a first, Sweden has deployed its troops to Latvia, making it the first inter-NATO deployment for the Swedish Forces. Simultaneously, Norway has deployed its F-35 stealth fighter jets to Poland. Poland has also increased its ground patrols on the border with Belarus. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged US President Donald Trump to convince Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop the war. This is baffling to me. Iran and NK are "powerhouses" then? For some reason people believe if a country is considered an adversary to the west, then it can't have any allies, it should fight on their own. Iran is just a trade partner, they get money for "help", that's how market works. NATO on the other hand actively spends money in their proxy war, but that's normal for you I guess. And NK is a separate deal entirely - there's a reason those troops were only spotted inside of Russian territory, never in Ukraine. That means either training or defensive pact. There's also the fact that they couldn't be proven to exist since last summer, but we are eating it for some reason.

Hitler and Stalin agreed to attack Poland, who would steal what land from the Poles, and that they would not attack each other. They then invaded Poland within weeks of each other, met at the agreed lines, and did not attack each other. Stalin later sent a flowery congratulatory letter to his "friend" Hitler when Hitler conquered Paris. Stalin knew the allies were coming to help and ramped up his military massively. He hoped the allies and Germany would decimate each other so he could mop up Europe like a vulture without doing the fighting. Hitler saw what Stalin was up to, attacked, and then Stalin switched sides. In the end, Russia was only able to vulture in and occupy the parts of Eastern Europe that Germany defeated. The Eastern Europeans eventually kicked the Russian occupiers out. They probably would have been better off under German occupation because at least they might have learned efficiency.
