One example. It is estimated that China has about 200x (two hundred times, no typo) the capacity to build (war) ships than the US. One shipyard in China has more capacity than the entire N. America region. And US is ahead of Europe. Chilling. We have a few years left to reverse direction.

Security is needed to protect this to live your life and that of your children and grandchildren in freedom, happiness and prosperity. Everyone should listen to this very carefully and realise that we are in a very vulnerable position. What Mark Rutte is saying needs to be taken very seriously. The future of NATO wont look good if we keep ignoring the elephant in the room. This conflict is not Russia vs Ukraine. This has become most of Asia vs our collective security as a whole. The European metropolis can wait. Prioritise military defense,healthcare and education more than ever. These three cannot thrive without each other. Leave no holes!

Totally agree with Mark Rutte re spending on defence. As for my government, the UK, I would like to see the government increase its spending on UK defence/where possible, UK manufacturing and UK farming/UK food production.

What is NATO plan for Ukraine victory? NATO and /or just EU military forces need to physically secure Ukraine within 50 km of the frontline. There should be 100,000 EU troops in Ukraine to give Putin a clear message that Russia will not occupy Ukraine.

Very interesting narrative. NATO is deeply concerned with countries' (except for the US) overspending on social welfare while begging defence industry to get ready for all the money that will be coming their way. Everything is a question of money and technology. We are neither at war nor at peace. There is no threat now, but will be in 4 to 5 years.
