That was the thing that have broken me the most in that arc... I cried so hard when he died without ever telling anyone who he is... I cried the most on that scene, than in all of other hearth breaking scenes in whole of fairy tail, like Cana telling gildarts that she's his daughter, multiple situations where someone almost died, for example Mirajane scream and first shown Satan Soul after she almost lost elfman, that time when mavis and zeref died together, and when they "appeared" on Lucy's party, when erza awakened her power, when gajeel sacrificed himself, nothing compares to August and I thought I would have to live in regret for the rest of my life! I'm so happy!

It's great for Natsu to be able to see his precious family again, Zeref, Mavis, and Igneel. Igneel must really love Natsu as his son more than Ignia since Natsu is a pure, good natured person who cherishes the bonds with his family and friends. Also, raised well by him. For Ignia, he doesn't care about any of these things, and they meant nothing to him. All he cares about is power and being mighty. May Natsu see Zeref and Igneel again in the future whenever he can visit them.

It might be more real than we think. To my knowledge Natsu never learned about Larcade’s or August’s real relationship with Zeref. So either his subconscious is super intuitive to reimagine specifically those 2 of the Spriggan 12 as the children of Zeref OR it actually is their souls in a Limbo reality because that’s information Natsu never got.

I mean as far as I know: Mavis cursed herself with the same curse as Zeref had, when she casted Fairy Law for the very first time in the battle against a dark guild! Mavis didn't know that she was cursed until she truly witnessed what the curse did to Rita, Yuri Dreyar's wife and mother of Makarov. Mavis ran away, was found a year later by Zeref and... They made love But unfortunately, the curse of contradiction only affected Mavis, so Zeref carried her to the Fairy Tail Guild and left her there. Precht, later known as Hades, found Mavis and began a research to bring Mavis back. He sealed her in a lacrima, but later found out... Mavis is pregnant, even tho she doesn't look like she could. (Mavis is a adult after all) So Precht cut the child out of Mavis, most likely... And abonded the child in the mountains as Precht claimed the child to be a threat! The child, August, was later found by Zeref and grew up in Alvarez by Zeref's side. August died in the Final War Against Fairy Tail, because he used all of his magic to cast a skill, but upon seeing Mavis, he decided NOT to cast it, thus sparring many lives, luckily
