I understand that you want to get to the action in the fights because they're pretty cool. But understanding the story and what's going on makes the fight even more Epic. Such as understanding how Natsu Powers up, what ethernano is and what Dragon Force is. Not to mention the emotional ties to the characters. So I would consider watching the actual series

Eathe Nano EX, Ethernano is what allows wizards to use magic. Normally consuming it in such quantaties would help Natsu. However, the eathernano in an Etherion blast is made of more elements than just Fire. And as a Fire Dragon slayer consuming that much elemental magic OTHER THAN fire SHOULD kill him. But this is also Natsu so...

Watching this, it just makes me appreciate the subs even more. This scene blasted me when i first saw it in japanese. The voice actor for Natsu was incredible. Screaming on the top of the lungs. It's like the Robin scene in One Piece. Some things you just can't get with the dub....
