I really don't think there's any other group out there quite like Natsumen... Three of them were in a band called BOaT, more pop/rock but you can hear Natsumen being invented in their last album RoRo. All of their stuff is worth listening to though, they were awesome.

Also there's Wuja Bin Bin, they're a different style, more big band jazz/fusion but similar in that they're Japanese and full of extremely positive vibes
