Even tho GnR yrs was very difficult for Bucket, there were 4 good things that came out of it: 1. It was great exposure & how me & many bots discovered him ( when we may not have otherwise). 2. He played amazingly tasty riffs which elevated the quality of Chinese Democracy. 3. He finally got the payday he so well deserved. 4. As Brain said, the experience made him stronger & became crystal clear exactly what/how he wanted his music career to be like going forward. Great stuff!! Woo!!

I actually discovered BH before he was called Buckethead from that guitar magazine with the finger extensions. I always remembered that photo even though I had no idea who he was. Sometime in the early 90’s after discovering Buckethead the name Brian Carrol came out and it triggered my memory. I still had the old magazine and went back and found the article. I wasn’t sure but I thought it had to be him. By the mid 90’s I confirmed it was him. I didn’t need him being in GnR to be exposed to me but I realize that’s the way a lot of people found out about him. I was never a fan of theirs but I did listen to Chinese Democracy years after it was released and thought it was a very good record. I don’t personally know BH but he comes across as a very genuine and nice person. Brain does his reputation good.

@Sessla Kay someone reputable and not out for personal gain, yes. As well as statements from others who was with him in that studio (fortus/ doug goldstein etc who called him shy, quiet and reserved. As well as 30 years of proving he's a good guy who nobody has a bad word to say about). If you want to believe an A&R guy who nobody likes, who was fired from GnR twice, who leaked demo chinese democracy recordings last year and was blasted by the band for doing so, was once accused by Axl's ex-wife of sexual assault and has been shunned by the music business and now works as a car salesman then go ahead. But that would be extremely poor judgment. Extremely.

I know for a fact that Big B was just watching a weird horror film that had an erotic scene in it. 50% of horror films have a scene like that, they put them in there to help it sell. Someone walked in just as he was on that scene in the movie. Big B probably didn't even care about the scene, he probably thought it was just boring sleazy scene that was placed in there to pad out the time and he was just watching it in the background while he played for inspiration and was waiting for the horror imagery parts. Someone obviously took what they saw out of context and assumed it was something else.....
