You are an excellent teacher - thank you for this video :) I have a question: I have found many ways to say "I would like to order" in Thai but I am struggling to find the Thai script and translation for what "ja" means. Pom ja sang Tom yum goong. ผม ?? สั่ง ต้มยำกุ้ง - what does the "ja" mean? Thanks!
@PimmadaYodboriboon
@PimmadaYodboriboon 5 жыл бұрын
"Ja" means "will" / ผมจะสั่งต้มยำกุ้ง = I will order Tom Yum Gung. / ผมจะกินพิซซ่า = I will eat pizza. / ผมจะเอาผัดไทย = I will order Pad Thai ^^

Just skip Thailand as long as (baby) elephants are still broken and abused for and in the tourist and entertainment industries. It's still LEGAL in Thailand and there are no animal rights!! Just check KZbin on how (baby) elephants are trained and broken in Thailand (it's legal). If you are human, you can not have a relaxing holiday in Thailand, knowing that this is going on around the corner!!!

When calling over a waiter and you are unsure of their age in relation to yours - is it better to use the older form of "pi kah/krup" rather than "nong kah/krup?"

It's better to right phom not pom to say "I", the sound is not the same. It's the same thing with "rice", khaw is better than kaw. Pug-->phug Pon-->phon The french phonetic is really better to learn thai. Pug-->Phak Gin-->Kin Kaw-->Kao The english phonetic is really bad.

Sorry Olthy, I am comparing Ph = F sound like when you said Telephone, Photo, Paragraph. It is F sound and it is totally wrong!!! ผ is not F. How can you pronounce Gun, Ground, Google? it is G = ก right? If you use K like Kangaroo, Kick, Key. K = ค and it is TOTALLY WRONG!!!
@PimmadaYodboriboon
@PimmadaYodboriboon 4 жыл бұрын
Actually the right way to learn any languages, you should learn by your EARS, DO NOT learn by your EYES. You cannot compare Thai 100% to English or any languages. They are different !!! The way that I have been learning English or any languages, I have learned WITHOUT SUB-TITLE. For my VDO, I put the sub-title for someone that they would like to read. It was not easy to make a VDO and I must take my time more than 1 week to do editing the VDO to teach everyone for FREE on KZbin. If you think it will make you misunderstanding, just listen only. Don't read it. Okay?

@@PimmadaYodboriboon: In the begining it's very difficult to ear the final consonant for occidental people and if you don't ear, it's impossible to repeat. My friend's wife name is Mat and her french husband call her Ma since the begining. I learned thai alone and, of course, it's better to learn directly with thai people, but it's totally necessary to have bases. Now I read directly the translation with thai alphabet....และมันดีกว่ามาก And since I learned thai, my english and my spanish are better.
