Hey Cissie, I LOVE everything about this song! Thank you! I'm a big NBK fan and was wondering if you have a backstory to share? How were you approached by the producers, how was it working with Oliver Stone and Juliette Lewis, etc?

manank Thank you very much for your kind words. The back story is Juliette and I were already friends. She told me about a movie she got called NBK. She told me the plot. She was supposed to sing either "Trouble in mind" or Patsy Kline's "I go out walkin'". Well, I wrote this song based on what she said about the story. The day they were to shoot that scene Juliette played my song for everybody. Oliver said where did that come from? She said my friend wrote it. They shot the scene with her singing the other two songs, then my song. My song won out!! It was tailored to the movie, I figured how could he say no. He didn't...(lucky me by accident)! Cissie

why did I always assume that Juliette Lewis wrote and sung this song? I like the way she sings it in Natural Born Killers and I only sung this very small bit for more that 15 years!. Hi Kristy, it came about when I was hanging out with Juliette one day and she told me about the new movie she was going to do. She said that she was going to sing a song in jail and they hadn't decided on which song so I jumped all over that and wrote it based on her telling me what the movie was about. Yes, I am the original singer!
