I was wondering the efforts made by mural artists for making surface for wood bases by making colors from "Sanku Pushpam" roots.. thats "Amazing".. I am hearing it for the first time. Why do we not use turmeric for yellow and turmeric mixed with slaked lime for red ?

Normallyturmeric and mix of turmeric and slaked lime we will use for powder art(dhooli chitrangal) We wont use the same for painting.. reason is lasting of colors..it will not last long .. chances for fungas is more.. it may get spoiled
