If you don't want to use heat, consider African Threading. African Threading will not make your hair bone straight but you don't have to worry about heat damage. Tip: oil the thread so it will not pull the moisture from your hair. Just something to consider.

Love your hair. I use big rollers sometimes to help straighten without direct heat. Blow dry medium & flat iron not too hot. Only one pass. Acne is also caused by hormones, food sensitivities, & allergies not only from bad foods. I eat healthy & drink plenty of water. I still have break outs.

Your absolutely right about having your ends out sometime I drink lots of water 💦 and take lots of Vitamins E, D3,Biotin , women’s multivitamins, collagen, shea Moisture Jamaican Black castor oil line with clay mask with honey 🍯 twice a month for 2 years and I see good results . My hair is thick and full and less breakage it’s short to medium Afro and it’s growing at its own pace . I make 4 twist out at night put a scarf on and I can make a nice bun with my natural hair🙌🏽🙌🏽💕

Totally agree about not subjecting your hair to the entire natural hair care aisle. If your budget allows, I think it's best to start with a product line. Sometimes, those "family" products are best formulated to work together and it's not just misleading marketing😉. But like I said, sometimes w/ the way your bank account is set up, you can only afford 1 Shea Moisture product cuz ain't no BOGO sale in sight😑.

Thanks for the great tips! Throughout my hair journey, I can truly relate to alot of things you said. Introducing products slowly to your hair is key in knowing what works and what doesn't work for your hair type. It's has taken alot of time & patience for me to learn about my hair but I see positive results. I'm looking forward to it growing full, healthy, well managed & long.

My hair is the ultimate coarse kinky hair that when was it shrinks to an inch. If it gets dry naturally, I'm done because the ends just knot up and there goes breakage.
@tlang52478 жыл бұрын
Bizz2k Yes I have to keep mines stretched, too many knots form when I do not. I flat iron once a week, but not to get it bone straight; just to make it more manageable. I tried no heat for a year and it was a nightmare for me. I do enjoy listening to her tips, and take note of some and add to my hair regime.

Oluwaseun Shonibare Just damp it and start from tips to root. take your time. if its tangled use your fingers and detangle it
@orselenadidi8 жыл бұрын
Oluwaseun Shonibare Hi. Be careful I've been there before. Assess your ends, you might have a lot of Single strand knots and split ends now. And you gonna have to cut them off your hair asap. Take your time for it. You may do over a few days bit by bit till you're done with your whole head. It is going to restore health in your hair. Detangle your hair in their relaxed state aka wet (even soaking wet if you don't mind) from ends to root. I personally recommend Finger detangling always for a better feel of the knots and gentle handling whilst manipulation Last, I'd like to say, sometimes do not disturb the curl pattern due to styling anyhow. Because that's how you create unnecessary tangles. I mean like if it was in twists for example, a certain pattern is going to result from that therefore deal with it and detangle accordingly. Good luck and be extremely gentle on ur hair.
