Another Adventure Archives classic. Coincidentally, I was up in the Inyo National Forest a couple days ago on Saturday doing a day hike of Mt. Whitney starting at the Whitney Portal ending at the summit. I met some incredibly nice and generous people on my journey. Watching the Adventure Archives Mt. Whitney videos really helped me prepare for one of the greatest. Thanks, guys.

This is the land of my tribe! Mono lake is pronounced more like “ m oh no” it has a really powerful story of how it was almost killed when the streams were cut off to bring water to LA. The people that loved the lake fought LA and saved it. if you want to say hello in mono it’s manahuu! Pronounced like mana who

THANKS for this great look we travel 395 frequently, we do stop at Mono (pronounced Moe-No) often but dont stop at the hot springs or Convict Lake yet... giving us ideas for stops we might have to make thanks so much for the video// and again, very nice to have such super sharp video of these places. You not only give new travelers ideas but a grand record for people who have been there.// comedy that "Mammoth" hat is in Big Pine a good 30 miles or so south of mammoth. You were dropping out of mammoth area at the start of that scene //eh, close enough in winter but in summer the two areas are pretty different weather// we'll be on Whitney again in 2 weeks and we'll be thinking of your and many others videos

when most people think of california, they think of LA or the Bay area, and imagine large congested cities, with busy freeways... its not. most of california are actually quiet rural communities surrounded by beautiful landscapes. yes, if you travel to the large cities, you will find exactly what you imagine or see on tv. its amazing how most of the state's population are centralized in specific areas, while most of the state is still in prestine natural conditions.

I would like to know how you found the location of a natural hot springs like that, Thomas. I know there are some out here in the Rocky Mountains region, but all I can find are the ones made into tourist attractions like swimming pools. It's a dream of mine, just like it was for Andrew, to see a natural one like that.

That was your first hot spring soak? I'm with you, soaking in hot springs is possibly my favorite outdoor activity. I know you guys get requests go come places all the time, but... seriously, come visit me in Idaho and I'll take you to many, many hot springs. We can hop from spring to spring and just soak in the wilderness. There are some we can even backpack to in late summer or fall.
