As usual Irene wonderful video. The Stampede was packed again this year. We had a tripod for the fireworks on the grounds and so many people said "Take My Picture". People are always in a great mood during Stampede.

great video, by the way if crowds are a problem, make them an interesting part of the photo, ie: do long exposure shots, this makes the moving parts blur, like water on a river, so they are not a distraction to the model + background, but a usefull element to separate the two. like the photos of Drew on large format, use the bokeh to advantage!

How do you find a model!? And how much should you pay them. I do studio photo shoots and get payed and I have done out door photography with friends being models but I’m not sure how to find actual models and if you pay them or they pay you? Someone please help me

Absolutely stunning, I'm from Calgary too! I feel like I've seen you before at some of the locations you shoot at like Confederation Park and Bow Valley Ranche. I avoided the Stampede like the plague this year haha but you did an amazing job in such a crowded location!

Malls are so fun for shoots, one of my favorite ever was at a mall, all that glass and reflective surfaces make for endless possibilities. Also, ask shop keepers if you're allowed to photograph in their store, you'll be surprised that some of them will happily let you. I took my model into Victoria Secret and got some gorgeous shots in there. The mirrors and perfume bottles etc., made for some amazing shots!

How could you quickly change settings to stay on right exposure?? Is it experience?? When i do it i lose my focus to get model poses also lose focus to other things and this make me nervous and not creative 🤔🤔

Switch to continuous focus and maybe play with the Aperture Priority setting rather than full manual to get the hang of it
