This a clasic open shade situation. And light is fantastic as expected. However Diana has brown hair and therefore the face/head/hair does not separate very well from a background. This loaction is well suited for subjects with light colored hair, for Diana it is not very best choice. Hoever I like the natural protaits very mutch.

I'm not sure I agree. I think the photos are amazing like they are! It's obvious the focus is more on her face, especially the eyes. I'm able to easily distinguish between her face and the background. I think the point is to draw the viewer to her face areas and not so much the background including her hair.

The "How To" is completely missing from this video. We all know how to frame a shot and press a button. People searching "portrait in overcast lighting" probably want to know about settings.

For the settings one thing you just need to choose how much you want to have depth of field and just make sure you exposure correctly. 90% it's about how to choose correct location and how to choose the light, and that's where most people completely miss...

@@SergeyBidun I'm sorry I came off very rude. Just nervous about a photoshoot today. It's my first real gig. You are right, it's all about how you use location and light. I even knew that already, I was just searching for some settings like I desperately need an answer lol. My worries was the overcast weather and I just found you have a video all about that "How I Take Children Portraits 70-200 Overcast" which is exactly my scenario. Sorry, again.
