If you are new to the herbal infused oil concept, well, herbal oils are obtained by soaking dried or fresh herbs in a pure vegetable-based oil such as sunflower, olive or almond oil or a mix of vegetable oils which will allow the fat-soluble parts of the herb to be extracted.

Also keep in mind that not all herbs are suitable to be oil infused, there are a lot of herbs which have water-soluble active principles, therefore you won't be able to extract any or little active principle.
Anyway, before deciding on which plant to use, I strongly advise you to not just blindly trust internet sources and to make your own researches in order to understand its potential strength. It's important that you get to know from trustful sources the various properties and active principles of the plant and if there could be any problems for a topical use. Some infused oils are safe to be used on wounds or broken skin, but others aren't, so its important to know these things about your herbs before you start working with them. Natural does not always mean SAFE!
Remember that it is recommended to always first try a small amount of the herbal-based oil when you are applying it for the very first time. Give it always some time, from 12 to 24 hours to make sure you are not allergic to it.

Hi Rozalia, i love your channel. I made this oil a week ago and would like to know whether a fallout from lavender on the bottom of the jar is fine or whether it can be a mould, i dont really know how to differentiate. i know that sometimes oils can go rancid during this process. I would appreciate your help.

Hi Manita Anna , it's difficult it can be mold because the fresh lavender flowers contain very less water ..were the lavender flowers fresh or dry? 1 week of time is not enough for the oil to go rancid, especially coconut oil..do you keep the jar in the dark in a fresh place? Take away the fallout and I'm positive it will turn out heavenly :)

Hi Rozalia, the flowers were dry and the oil doesn't smell bad. I guess it can be just some fallout from the lavender flowers. Oh well, I guess I just have to wait and see. Thank you for your reply :).

In this video I used dry lavender flowers, but you could use fresh lavender flowers too, the result is even more balsamic & scented! ;) Don't heat the oil.. In case you're going to use fresh lavender flowers make sure to use this method: bit.ly/freshlavenderinfusedoil

Hi Sazia Afrin you may use jojoba oil for the infusion process, but if you want to make the solid perfume you will need to add some wax as jojoba oil is not usually solid as coconut oil is :))
