What are your thoughts on this movement for natural, organic, and biodynamic wines?

I think biodynamic may be the future, do you sir?

@@pjessence There is definitely movement towards biodynamics however, there are a number of things slowing the process down; primarily costs in the vineyard and winery to transition from today's methods to the ultimate end game.

I'm a novice to the wine industry, however, I'm asking questions as I have them. Because of added sulfite in wine, does that categorize the wine as a wine that can age well, does it take it out of that category entirely, or does it have nothing to do with aging wine?

whats sustainanable is mechanical machined mon fuel driven and manual. but that would mean we can only buy 1/10th or less of what we buy now. In the end its very simple. what is sustainable is what you dont buy, or are able to produce in your own backyard ( leaving enough land for all others to do the same)

If one wants to be a good steward for the planet, they would not go electric. The minerals needed comes from mining, and 250 to 500 tons of earth have to be dug up just to find the minerals that are necessary to make one car battery... and their non-recyclable! Moreover, the lithium fields left behind are 10 times more destructive than the digging itself. Our drive to go electric is not conducive. What would be is to use engines that run on corn or hydrogen; the latter has no impact. I don't believe in the Hocus pocus bull crap about biodynamic. A German scientist who came up with something from 1928 that's akin to a horoscope. I am also a Sommelier and I have tasted hundreds of wines that were certified biodynamic and organic, and I have also tasted many wines by producers that claim sustainable agriculture. They're all the same because it's in the winemakers ability in tandem with terroir, aging regimens, and care / cleanliness of the vinification process that matters. This guy seems nice, but he's making money by pushing bull crap.

I have tried Manichevitz red wine. It's kosher and delicious so I thought it was au natural.
