I use UFD w/ Innersense Organics I Create Hold Gel. I top it UFD w/ I Create Hold because of the humidity in S. Fla. I don’t towel dry my hair after washing. I place the UFD gel on soaking wet hair in the shower. That technique is used so that the gel locks in all the water (moisture). Then I get out of the shower to set my WNG and I use the Innersense ICH gel as my topper, keeping my hair wet. To get rid of the sticky feeling of UFD, emulsify the gel really good with wet hands as well. That technique and gel combo gives me a no frizz, super defined and moisturized WNG for the week. I experience a cast; but I need it for this climate down here and because I workout outside 3 times a week. With the heat, humidity and exercise, my hair needs no refresh, just fluff and go for 7 days.

Thanks for the tips on the UFD gel. I have never used the Innersence gel, I may have to look into it for next year. I'm currently on a "no buy" so I can't pick it up this year, but thanks for sharing your combo.

@@sonyadenise1974 do you use innersense shampoo and conditioner prio to that or you just wash with something else? I did the 2 combo but I didn't get a defined wash and go. It was a soft afro with no crunch once it was dry, don't know what I did wrong. 🤷🏽‍♀️.. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I love the uncle funkys curly magic. It’s definitely one of my top 5 overall products because it really changed my wash and go’s for the better. I don’t usually use it with another gel but when I do I use wetline. I never thought to pair it with Eco gel

I love the UFC. Definitely one of my top stylers because it's moisturzing without weighing my hair down. Basically if I want a moisturised wng (in dry weather or winter) I use the Miche Bounce cream first and then the UFC. Almost the same ingredients so no flakes but lots of moisture and bounce. If I want a longer lasting wng or if it's slightly humid and I need a cast, I use it with the Innersense I create hold or Dippity Doo gel. I noticed that the key with the UFC is water so I emulsify it and apply it in the shower on dripping wet hair. That takes care of the stickiness issue too.

UFD is my favourite staple base gel its the best aloe based gel I've ever used it never disappoints. In the summer months I always use it with a hard holding topper gel I hope they never tamper with the current formulation.

@@NaturalRaeRae I'm a bit of a product junkie, I use wetline ( only in summer) it's not widely available in the UK. I also use hard and sexy gel which is a very hard holding gel, I also use innersense "I create hold", it really depends on my mood and the weather 😀😄😅

I purchased the Eco from the Walmart link you provided from your last video and even though it was pictured to be the blue color treated Eco, they sent me the blue sport Eco. I'm not mad because I'm high porosity and the 2nd ingredient is hydrolyzed wheat protein in the blue sport Eco, which is beneficial for my hair. However, low porosity hair types might hate it and be upset with getting the blue sport Eco instead of the blue color treated Eco. Thought I'd let you know. ❤️

Hello~ thanks for showing your third day hair. I thought it had a lot of definition and looked a little fluffier. I liked it better than your first day hair.☀️ Would you consider doing a rod set with the Curls twist and shout cream and the lotta body mousse or a mousse of your preference ? I tried it and my hair came out really pretty with the rods.

I love Uncle Funky’s Daughter but I don’t add any other gels with it. I don’t like the As I Am water either. It acts the same as if I spritz water on my hair. It seems to evaporate and then dry out.

It is a get but it is soft hold while the other gel is harder hold. If you pair the tow together you get a more moisturized medium hold style

Thank you! Yes, I sit under the dryer for wash n go's. I do not use a heat protectant because I only do it once a week, usually. However, I would encourage anyone who thinks they need a heat protectant to use one. Thanks for the question.

I use UFD alone because I don't want extreme definition...it doesn't give much of a hold at all though. If you want super definition pair it with a harder gel. Also it depends on the look you want and your curl pattern. I'm 4a, so I have definition with it alone (I have definition regardless without product) , but still have frizz. I'm ok with frizz
