Hey RaeRae! I’m glad you reviewed the steamer + the Pattern. I love how you take care of your hair. 👍🏾

Thank you for the video. I would have liked to have seen setup you used for the steamer and how it looked while using it.

I showed a picture of how it looked while using. The set up wasn't necessary to me since it's two parts that you just slide together. Thanks for tuning in.

When I decided to get a steamer because I realized my hair was dry and steaming helps the boost moisture. I especially noticed a change when my hairstylist would do it in the salon. I got a Q-Redew because I realized when I researched the challenges you faced. I wanted to steam to go through all of my hair without any challenge, and a lot of people got the Q -Redew for that. I knew I couldn't afford a heavy duty steamer; they are way too expensive. I got mine used off Mercari...used once I think. Sooooooo great! I know this was a gift, but perhaps this can help someone else...😊.
@NaturalRaeRae Жыл бұрын
They can be expensive for sure. I am going to use it a little more to see if I see the benefit in it after long term use. If so, I'll do a follow up video. Thanks for sharing.

You just reminded me I've been having that steamer stuck back in a closet I know over 5 years or more, 😊. I need to pull it out.

I have a Q Redew Hand Held Hair Steamer, and I love it…

The Q Redew was really popular back in the day, too. I haven't seen many people using it lately, either. Glad that you love it and that it works for you. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the post I forgot I have the Q Redew. Gonna bring it out! Trying not to buy a lot of new hair products, I have my staples 👍🏽

@@tbev58 you’re welcome. I rotate using mine. I use the steamer one week and my conditioning cap that you put in the microwave the next week.

Just to let you know I understood what you were saying I was just hinting that you needed a refresh to come up with something new and you did😉 thank you for the steamer review I was thinking about getting one but I found out the foil shower cap works for me I love it 🥰👍🏻

Thanks for sharing about the foil shower cap. That may be a more economical way for people to go if they don't want to spend the money on a steamer. 💛

Nice video and review 🥰💙.. I have this product as well and will definitely try it with my steamer (which I only used twice 🤣🤣🤷🏽♀️) I just forget about it or just say I’ll just use my hot head or sit under my hooded dryer 😂.. so happy you mentioned hard water.. b/c I’ve been saying I need to get a filter and just picked up a while ago the Texture ID Apple Cider Vinegar rinse .. which I’m definitely going to try out my next wash day 💙.. I’m sure my hair needs a reset bad 💙

I don't have this DC, but I'm glad to hear your review. The whole steamer thing sounds like it's a lot of work. But glad to hear it worked for you. I, too, have been doing the apple cider vinegar rinses when I remember. Lol 🤦🏽♀️
@NaturalRaeRae Жыл бұрын
The steamer isn't that much work, but if you have a hooded dryer, the steamer isn't needed. Just my opinion.

Feel the same about the steamer. I gave it a try a few times. My Hot Head cap is good for me.

Hey RaeRae! I also have this pattern treatment mask. I have not tried mine yet. I am glad you enjoyed it. I am looking forward to trying mine. I am one of those persons whose hair does extremely well with steamers over hooded dryers for moisturizing, deep conditioning treatment. I have compared the two and the steamer my hair absolutely loves. Thank you for sharing both of these products!
@NaturalRaeRae Жыл бұрын
Hey Andria! I did enjoy it and I think my hair needed the extra boost of protein, as well. I'm glad to hear that you love the steamer because it just goes to show that there is no right or wrong when it comes to which tool to use; just use what your hair responds to the best. Thanks for sharing your experience with steaming and for tuning in.

Also, I think professional steamers on a stand with a full-size hood offer a better experience.

hi rae 🤗 ive seen quite a few videos on steamers. most people at least think they're ok. i use a shower cap and my hooded dryer - but i wonder if there is a noticeable difference between the wet heat of a steamer and the dry heat of a hooded dryer? glad the pattern treatment worked for your hair. i haven't tried the brand yet, but have seen a lot of positive reviews (especially as compared to other celebrity hair products). tfs
@NaturalRaeRae Жыл бұрын
I didn't see a noticeable difference but I want to use it more to really tell. I'm sure I'll be back with an update at some point. Thanks for tuning in.

Hi Rae loved the steaming video. On a previous video you mentioned you deep condition weekly. How do you deep condition? Like inside or outside the shower and do you use heat weekly or just using the plastic caps in the shower. I purchased a facial steamer as I saw a video where they used for the hair and I recently tried it and loved it as I can focus the steam where I want it to go because I hate the heat from my hooded dryer hitting the top of my head directly especially since I am thinning on the top 😢😅as it has a long handle like your steamer but of course mine doesn’t have a dome since it’s a facial steamer. I need to check my water for calcium deposits. Also I have never used any Pattern Beauty products yet.
@NaturalRaeRae Жыл бұрын
Hi Shelle! I deep condition weekly with my Hot Head outside the shower. I probably don't need to, but I like to so I do. I haven't had any adverse reactions to doing it weekly. I understand about the hooded dryer being too hot, especially on the crown. My steamer can be used as a facial steamer, as well. Maybe I will use that attachment to focus the steam on the parts that the dome misses. Thanks for sharing that with us.
@1GoldenBreeze Жыл бұрын
I've never used a steamer. The Pattern treatment mask is a straight-up protein mask for my hair, and I only use it once every 8 weeks if that. I follow it with a moisturizing dc and that combo leaves my hair strengthened and moisturized. When I finish it I don't know if I'll get it again because I prefer Aquage Strengthing conditioner.
@NaturalRaeRae Жыл бұрын
Everyone said it was really strengthening for their hair so I thought that I wouldn't like it. However, it was very hydrating to my hair as well as giving it a little boost of protein for some elasticity. I enjoyed the mask. The steamer was nice, but I don't think people NEED the steamer. Thanks for sharing.
@1GoldenBreeze Жыл бұрын
@@NaturalRaeRae I think you may experience more strengthening when you use it without the steamer.

My Steamer is 2 parts. So it can mist in those areas that the dryer won’t get

The hooded steamers beep when the water is too low or too high.

I thought that was the case, but thanks for clarifying it for us.
@penneysanchez3147 Жыл бұрын
You know that's not a deep Condition. It's like a protein treatment.
@leoskiss3390 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I agree I use it as a pre shampoo treatment and I love it that way
@NaturalRaeRae Жыл бұрын
Hi Penney! Tracee actually calls it a Moisture Treatment Mask in the details on her site. But nonetheless it did give me the boost of protein that I was looking for and because I let it sit with heat is why I called it a deep condition. I appreciate you watching and commenting.
@NaturalRaeRae Жыл бұрын
I may try it that way next time since Tracee did say it could be used before or after shampooing. Thanks for tuning in.

I have a steamer just like this. I attempted to use it once and never again 😂 I hate that it doesn't get all of the hair very well...I'm considering investing in a stand up one....to stand next to my hooded dryer 😂😭
@NaturalRaeRae Жыл бұрын
I don't like that the dome doesn't cover the whole head either. I'm not sure what that was about. Maybe they were worried that the steam would burn the skin if it came all the way down around the ears and neck. 🤷🏾♀️ Idk just guessing. Anyhoo, thanks for tuning in.
