I guess the officer was going to let him kill himself because if he would have tapped him it would have been all over for the dude. Motorcycles are always going to lose if they get tapped or they hit a car or a number of other things. No officer wants to scrape another human being off the pavement and then go through the procedure of why he was killed etc. So kudos from the officer for not tapping the dude at 120 mph. I hate that he seems to have gotten away but he is off the road for the moment anyhow.

There's a point to be made, which is, not to make a dangerous situation a more dangerous situation. Also, its against Arkansas state law to perform a PIT maneuver on a motorcycle.

(Clinton ran against JPH for Congress when he was a professor at University of Arkansas in 1974). Hammerschmidt also earned the Distinguished Flying Cross for his service in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a businessman who worked in lumber / construction. He worked in the company that was founded by his grandfather. He died in 2015. The man is worthy of having a highway named after him.. no question.

@@kirkendol I'm pretty sure it is. That same car is in a recent chase video from earlier this week with a Chrysler 300 that caught fire after it stopped and the guy bailed. In that other video it sounds like a v6. In this video we are discussing here, I still think it sounds like a v6 and it's definitely slower than the pursuing charger that is obviously a hemi. If it's not a 6 cylinder, which my bet is that it is, I wonder if it's a hemi with a rev limiter? It doesn't seem to be governed because it did 140mph, but it takes forever to get up to speed. Typically the governed hemis stop at 130.

I have driven 120 mph on a Honda CBX (6 cylinder). And 130+ mph in a 2003 Hyundai Elantra GT. Both times I could see the clearly and it did not seem that I was going that fast. It's tunnel vision.
