Wow.. He said that since humanity learned to observe before learning to reflect (as Nietzsche expressed: The "you" is older than the "I") we therefore began expressing internal thoughts and sentiments as external objects in the landscape because we only knew how to have relations with external things.. So everything in Nature corresponds exactly to our psychology, and that's actually all Poetry and metaphor is, its finding the right external phenomena which represents our thought, and talking about the internal world as some homogeneous function of Nature.. And thus by language we have formed our souls into reflections of Nature itself, and Nature a reflection of our Soul

I am really starting to hate philosophy and poetry. Why do they need so many words to make a simple point? Just a bunch of pretentious old men trying to sound so thoughtful and unique when they are all saying the same shit in the same ways over and over. I don't find beauty in this just frustration.

I understand your point. I encourage you to engage with some women writers to see if it is just the topic you don't enjoy, or the WhiteOldMan-ness. Dickinson, Plath, Bishop, and Gilman are all great places to start.
