A very beautiful legacy this man will pass on to humanity. His words, his thoughts are more important than people realize.

Wow, this is incredible! The first time I discovered the art of Robert Bateman was in 1985, I was 14 years old and I was taking drawing lessons. My teacher had a whole bunch of books on art including the famous book The art of Robert Bateman. As soon as I opened this book, I was fascinated and almost immediately, I wanted to reproduce one of the paintings in the book in acrylic. I remember it like it was yesterday. A superb leopard straddling a large branch in a tree. Glad to find you again thanks to KZbin and to see that you are continuing your magnificent work.

Thank you Robert Bateman. I agree and find my time in my wild garden, observing nature, to be a wonderful antidote to the stress of this world. I am a landscape painter and find inspiration and peace of mind in the outdoors.

One day I was sitting at the table and I happened to glance out the window, when I spotted something strange looking in the tree top , I took a second glance again to see what exactly what it was that had caught my eyes, well here it was a tiny baby squirrel, and it was dangling upside down by its little toe grabbers near the end of a small branch , and it was happily munching on new fresh leaves, it would reach out and grab a small twig with tiny leaves on it and munch away care free I couldn’t believe what I had seen ,the little daredevil hanging upside down and munching leaves , it was the first I had ever seen , I wish I could have gotten a picture of him , it was so cute

I'm so glad Bob is doing so well. I took his last Master Class with him in 1992 and he was so sweet and so approachable. I even gave him a shoulder rub!! I spent a week immersed in his philosophy and Art with a Captial A!! (that's what he told us every day)

I was waiting at the bus stop this afternoon. I was watching a sparrow fly over the road. I noticed an insect. I watched as the sparrow caught the insect in its mouth. I thought wow. Amazing!

When I lived up north I was with a group of artists and we were going to meet Robert Bateman who was up at one of the small communities, and when I told my boyfriend he got jealous , he wasn’t happy for me that I was going to meet a famous painter , so I declined and missed my opportunity to go with the group ,he thought I had a better life then him because I was interested in art and I went to art group now I wish I had went

Thankyou Robert Bateman for reminding us what beauty nature is in all her glory in your art, which I've always loved more than modern art which can look like a bit of slapstick "deep & meaningful" colourful (or not), brush strokes. That is just my own personal opinion, reflecting in my taste in art, no one else's & i mean no disrespect but in showing Nature in all it's myriad of expressions, it takes a person to really look at what is being shown to us and you do it so well, Mr Bateman.

Love the video. Great work but I really love the message. The destruction of Nature needs to stop. The sense of place is essential to the soul.

I find your paintings very very lifelike. I feel like I've seen the paintings because they're so realistic or I'm in the paintings because they're so realistic and that's symbolic to me I like it it's good job keep it up

ADHD can not be “cured” by being outdoors, unfortunately. The only “fix” is educating society on the disorder.
