Wish to find out Who is God? What is the nature of God? What are the different powers of God? these are some of the most common questions every person in the world has at some point of time in their life.
These questions are even more important for someone who is on the spiritual path. Almost every religion in world has the same message for people of spiritual path, and that is to "Surrender to God". It's only natural to have a curiosity to know Who God really is? What is God's nature like?
Only when a seeker understands the immense of God's nature and God's infinite supernatural powers one can easily surrender onto him. Due to this knowing God's nature is extremely important for a spiritual seeker.
In this part 25 episode of Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Swami Mukundananda graciously explains the vastness & super excellence of God's powers as described by Maharishi Patanjali.
Maharishi Patanjali in his yoga sutras describe God as -
God is all knowing - God is omniscient , God is omnipresent, God eternally free from Maya.
And it is by surrendering to this all knowing, all powerful & all merciful God one can get liberation from Maya.

Sadhaks on the gyan-marg tend to believe that God resides in them, thus so they too are God-like, thus they do not need to surrender their intellect to God. But Swamiji beautifully explains that God who knows the actions and thoughts of all living creatures, from ants to devatas, from infinite lifetimes, who is the creator of multiple universes and is all powerful. How can a puny soul in humans be compared to that omniscient Lord? Thank you, Swamiji.

While we are the miniscule soul, God is the supreme soul who knows the karmas of all the souls over infinite lifetimes but we know nothing about God.
