Hi Simon I was out in the Peak District last week just doing a recce in a new area and came across some Harebell flowers and knew there was an image available but thought to myself 'I wish Simon Booth was with me' 😂 I'm sure you would have found a composition. I do enjoy taking abstract images and that was what I was after. I didn't get anything that I was happy with although I did get a 'Simon Booth' type abstract later when I spotted some backlit grasses swaying in the wind. I added a ND filter and played around with shutter speeds. I definitely feel the more you look the more you see and eventually it'll be easier to spot compositions like you do. Great vlog once again with fantastic images and I love how you explain your set up and why
@SimonBoothPhotography4 ай бұрын
@@tuftyhill thanks for watching. I actually find harebells quite difficult to do justice to. As yet, I’ve never managed anything I like. The fact that they often grow singly makes the hard. And the wind never helps with these. That being said, it’s only a matter of time.

Hi Simon, I'm currently using some extension tubes with my Tamron 28-200mm lens do you know if a dedicated macro lens would, by definition, enhance my image quality (other things being equal of course) and, if so, are you in a position to recommend one? Thanks a lot.
@SimonBoothPhotography4 ай бұрын
@@AlanSprung Hi Alan I only had extension rings at the start of my photography journey and took my most successful image on a 50mm lens. So I guess it’s the content that dictates the brilliance of an image. That being said, since then I’ve always owned a macro and always made by the manufacturer of the camera system. I’ve never tried third party macro lenses. They are however easier to use than tubes.
