The professor gave us great explanation. Climate change may be a factor, but as well as in other areas around the world, the land management of sorrounding areas can be the main factor of coastal erosion. If the river Volta can't put sediments into the sea, there will be less sands on the shorelines.

The crustal slip caused by the current pole shift is moving Ghana to the geographical equator, the highest bulge point of the ocean. Once Ghana has crossed the equator, sea level will fall. Sadly, Florida, also moving towards the ocean bulge at the equator will see much higher sea level rise as it has a long way to go. The trees in the Florida Keys have already been killed by the rising salt water following crustal slip. Any country will low level coast line moving towards the geographical equator. See also the coastal erosion of low lying northern coastlines of Australia.

Dams on the volta don't help either by trapping the sediments in their reservoirs.

There is a doc about the damage that is done by dredging ships, for building and construction projects. The massive amount of sand these ships are dredging just offshore, seem to be causing problems in other areas as well. I wonder if this could be a factor here.

For the first time in history, all of humanity is facing a common external enemy. This enemy is the climate. In order to survive in such a time, we need to unite in efforts to build a Creative Society. People are already ready to act, and as an example of this - International online forum "Global Crisis. We are People. We Want to Live". Look it up on KZbin, it not only identifies problems but also suggests a way out!

What is that man talking about? Who told him people are building close to the sea? These are people familty lands that has been so many miles away from the sea for manany many centuries. Erosion meantion it has eraded the land to meet the people. And this has been happening for centuries. What makes him think people only started building houses there? My family land is now so many miles into the sea because the sea has taken it over. Look at this hinterland Akan who knows nothing about the coast and calls himself an expert. These are family lands being washed away. So many families have lost their Family lands so many miles into the sea over the years because there was no care in the world for coastal volta. Ada has been protected so well but Ewe land has been neglicted because of tribal hatred for Ewe people. Not because Ewes have done anything wrong but just because of pure hatred. The hate Akans have been raised with is what is worsening our situatuion. I hope your come back on to this earth again and find yourselves in various parts of the world were you will be hated for no reason maybe you will know what you came to do in this life previous lives of yours. Hateful people.

The tip of Argentina/Chile and Siberia are getting colder and colder as a result of crustal slip caused by the pole shift. As Northern Russia and China approach the geographical north pole, the immense land mass will accululate more and more frozen snow, forming many more glaciers over a huge area. This will cause sea levels to fall. Remember the geographical history when the North Sea almost disappeared!

Interesting. But they harvest sediments from the rivers so there's no sediment deposit in the delta. That's a direct factor as well.
